Should you have a particular preference for a particular theme for your retreat, the following are the range of themes. All retreats are tailored to suit specific age groups.
More information: Confirmation Retreat 11-13 years - Especially designed retreat to give your class a fun-filled preparation of their Sacrament of Confirmation. Using drama, music, small group work and talks the day is designed to be given as a refresher and experiential opportunity for this age group. Leadership (Junior and Senior) – “Steppin’ Up” Our Youth Leadership encounter incorporating outdoor adventure gives students the opportunity to discover their own potential by developing interpersonal and leadership skills, increasing their self-confidence and acquiring the motivation and ability to bring about change. This programme offers hands-on learning enabling all students, regardless of background, experience or ability level, to get ahead. Skills touched on include;
Discipleship – “The Apprentice” One of the criticisms that Ghandi made of Christians was that they didn’t much resemble Christ. This Day challenges young people to see how much their lives resemble that of Christ and offers positive steps in following Christ’s personal call in their lives. Forgiveness – “Ctrl-Alt Delete” Who hasn’t experienced a relationship that has gone wrong? This Day is a reminder that Jesus is interested in our ordinary life experiences and has given us a way to deal with broken relationships through repentance and forgiveness. His way helps us to bring peace and love into our own lives and relationships. Life Choices – “Road Trip” What is the real purpose and meaning of life? What’s really important to me? Where does God fit into my life and my future? The Life Choices Encounter Day invites young people to make their faith the key component in answering life’s biggest questions. Peer Pressure – “He Said/She Said” Am I willing to do what’s right even if it means going against my friends? Am I a follower or a leader? How do I handle alcohol, drugs, bullying? Self-Image for Young Men and Women “The Male Survivor”
